In 2015, Palette Rouge (LPR), a European leader in pallet rental, decided to implement a customer portal providing access to real-time activity reporting.
The primary goal of this initiative is to enable customers to analyze and manipulate their own data independently and intuitively.
Patrick SIGWALT, Director of Information Systems, and Sylvain CARRER, Business Intelligence Manager, discuss the challenges and implementation of this project using the DigDash Enterprise solution.
“DigDash seemed to us to be the best balance between features and license pricing”
At the time, a study was conducted among market leaders such as Tableau, Qlik, SAP, Power BI, BusinessObjects, and others. The challenge was to Find offerings with per-user licensing costs that aren’t exorbitant. With DigDash, LPR pays for licenses on a per-user basis, but at a much more reasonable cost than other players in the market. In fact, that was the key selling point negotiated at the time.
According to the teams on the ground, the DigDash Enterprise solution offers numerous strengths:
- Navigation that provides a big-picture view while still allowing you to drill down into the details.
- Complementarity with Business Objects
- Managing Very Large Volumes of Data
“The teams are responsive, and that would never have been the case with large companies in the market.”
Digdash’s support is also a major asset, as they are attentive to customer needs regarding updates and specific developments when required.
It’s nice to have a direct, straightforward, and nearly instantaneous relationship.
Today, it’s a success—the tool has been widely adopted, and there’s a genuine awareness of the benefits it provides. In fact, this solution, which was initially intended for customers, has evolved into an internal tracking solution.
