What does HDS stand for?
According to the ANS (Agence du Numérique en Santé), “The purpose of HDS certification is to strengthen the protection of personal health data and to build a trusted environment for eHealth and patient care. It is based on standards that include compliance with ISO standards and enables an accredited independent body to issue certification to any entity or organization that hosts health data. Personal health data is sensitive. Access to it is regulated by law to protect individuals’ rights. Consequently, the hosting of this data must be carried out under security conditions appropriate to its sensitivity. The regulations define the expected terms and conditions.”
