In 2017, INRA—which became INRAE in 2020 (National Institute for Research on Agriculture, Food, and the Environment)—decided to integrate a new business intelligence solution to modernize its tools and better manage its data, particularly financial and HR data.
A look back at the origins of this project with Christelle CHAPUIS, deputy director of DIAGONAL, INRAE’s Management Support Division.
BI to Modernize Existing Tools
When it launched its Business Intelligence project in 2012, INRAE’s main objective was to modernize its tools for collecting, managing, and analyzing data.
Looking for a more modern, user-friendly, and easy-to-use solution, the institute turned to DigDash in 2018, which was able to provide tailored answers to its technical and functional questions, as well as propose solutions that would integrate seamlessly into its environment. Other key selling points included competitive pricing and the use of a non-proprietary language.
Simplified data management
Thanks to DigDash, INRAE can track its financial KPIs—such as purchases and expenses, financial management of research contracts, and oversight of the organization’s budget—as well as its human resources, its international presence , and much other information useful for management.
All of this with great simplicity: the tool’s user-friendly design allows users toquickly access the information they need, with minimal training.
