There is a growing volume of available data and a <strong>constant need for Human Resources to obtain relevant metrics. As <\/strong>a result, the Departmental Council has decided to implement a business intelligence tool. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A look back at the solution&#8217;s rollout, featuring testimonials from Catherine Lepoutre and Xavier Pradon, both project managers in the Dr\u00f4me department. <\/p>\n<h2>What was the starting point for this business intelligence project?<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cThere is a real awareness within the department of <strong>the importance of metrics for managing our human resources<\/strong>. In fact, today we want to be able to track our operations and performance in real time, while optimizing our HR.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Until now, dashboards were created manually in Excel. This was very time-consuming for the Human Resources Department. The department needed a solution to <strong>reduce these time-consuming, repetitive tasks and minimize errors, which <\/strong>were caused by manual data entry.  <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8220;We wanted to start this project with Human Resources and then <strong>roll<\/strong> it <strong>out to the other departments within the organization<\/strong>. So we needed a tool that would allow us to create dashboards\u2014but ones tailored to each department within our local government\u2014in order to standardize the metrics.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>How did you choose this new solution?<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWe knew that the Gironde department had launched a similar project with DigDash. So we drew inspiration from their approach and conducted a POC (\u201cproof of concept\u201d) with this software provider. The POC was successful, so we decided to implement the tool, which is also UGAP-certified.\u201d  <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>We were also won over by <strong>the solution\u2019s intuitiveness and the autonomy it provides<\/strong>. In fact, we plan to eventually expand the use of the software to our entire organization. To do that, we needed a cross-functional tool. And that\u2019s exactly what DigDash Enterprise is.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>And today, what&#8217;s the status of your project?<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cThe implementation within our information system was very quick and straightforward. The most challenging part was creating our data warehouse, which was virtually nonexistent. We had to set it up by classifying all the data at our disposal in order to <strong>subsequently generate high-quality dashboards and obtain accurate metrics.\u201d<\/strong>   <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Management will soon be using this solution. The goal is to control payroll costs, anticipate retirements, gain a comprehensive overview of the positions filled within the department, and understand absenteeism&#8230; In other words, to optimize human resources management within the local government. The goal is to provide senior management with <strong>clear, real-time dashboards to enable<\/strong> faster <strong>decision-making<\/strong>.   <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8220;We then plan to roll out the tool to the Finance and Facilities departments.
